FAQ

1. Decide on a preferred Shape and Length.

2. Once you’ve purchased and received your Sizing Kit(s), select the sizes that best fit your nail beds. This is required for all customers, as you need to ensure accuracy.

3. After you’ve double-checked your sizes, fill out the Customize Your Order details form with all of your information. If you prefer, you may email me all of the details at flowercatnails@gmail.com.

4. When your order details are confirmed, you can then purchase your Single Set or Bundle Set!

All of our nail sets are made from soft gel, which is a clear light cured resin that is formed to fit on your nail in a more natural way. Soft gel nails are strong, yet extremely lightweight. This makes them look and feel more realistic. It's so easy to forget that you're even wearing them! With good prep work, they appear completely natural. Soft gel nails are a salon quality product that was originally intended to be used as nail extensions and applied with a soft gel base. However, when you use the nails as a press on with adhesive, you get a very durable nail set that can be reused up to five or more times. These soft gel nails are wonderful because you can apply them conveniently in your home yourself. No need to go to the salon for salon quality nails! Japanese gel colors are used at Flowercatnails for their high quality formula standards in addition to their stunning pigments.

If using adhesive tabs, your press ons may last up to one week. If using nail glue, your press ons may last up to two weeks. In either case, your nails must be well prepped before applying to ensure proper adhesion. Gloves should also be worn when doing activities such as washing dishes. I do not recommended wearing press ons longer than three weeks to avoid moisture entrapment.

Every application kit comes with adhesive tabs and nail glue, here are the instructions on how to apply them using either method:

🐾Application steps with adhesive tabs.

1. Cleanse

Wash hands with soap. This removes any oils from skin and nails. Ensure they dry completely.

2. Cuticle prep

Push cuticle and skin back and up, off of your nail bed with an orange stick or cuticle pusher.

3. Buff

Use 100 sponge buff or 180 file to remove shine from the nail bed.

4. Dehydrate

Use at least 90% isopropyl alcohol on nail bed to remove dust and dehydrate.

5. Re-push

Feel free to re-push the cuticle area back and lift up as well.

6. Adhesive tabs.

Choose tab that best fits your nail bed size and apply to the nail bed, then remove coating.

7. Press on

Align and hold the press on down, ensuring pressure is applied to all areas of your nail bed.

6. Nail glue

Apply nail glue to most of the nail bed, be careful not to apply it within 1 mm to the cuticle or the sidewall. Also put a drop on the false snail where the nail bed will be.

7. Press on

Align and hold the press on down for at least 20 to 30 seconds. Ensure pressure is applied to all areas of the nail bed.

🐾To remove your Press Ons with adhesive tabs or with nail glue once it begins wanting to lift:

In a bowl, combine hot water, a small amount of oil, and a couple of drops of dishwashing soap to soak your nails in for at least 20 minutes.

Once your nails and the adhesive softens, begin gently removing the press on nails with an orange stick or cuticle scraper.

Only remove the Press Ons that are easy to remove. Continue soaking until they are easy to remove.

🐾 To remove your Press Ons with nail glue before 2 weeks (or before they want to lift easily):

I currently use an artificial nail remover that softens the adhesive; several companies make them-some have acetone in their formula. (I try not to apply acetone directly to my nail frequently because it severely dries out your nail bed.)
